Fair play framework

Clear rules.
Equal opportunity.

These standards protect the fairness, safety, and credibility of every GYSO experience. Registration confirms that the student and guardian accept them.

01

Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by the selected field and competition category. Depending on the subject, entry may begin as early as Grade 4 and may extend through the undergraduate (bachelor’s degree) level. Applicants must select a category available for their current grade or academic level; the published subject-specific requirements and registration form govern.

02

Accurate information

All submitted details must be accurate and verifiable. The participant and legal guardian are responsible for any discrepancy in the application.

03

Academic integrity

Receiving unauthorized help, using prohibited materials, sharing questions, or submitting answers on behalf of another student is strictly prohibited.

04

Professional conduct

Every participant must treat peers, judges, mentors, and organizers with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

05

Results and appeals

Results are based on validated responses and the official scoring process. The academic committee’s decision is final after the published appeal period.

06

Intellectual property

Students retain ownership of their original work. GYSO may showcase shortlisted projects and participant images with appropriate credit and consent.
